A Fresh Look With a Custom Solution

The homeowners wanted to update their TV room, starting with the removal of the existing wall-to-wall, store-bought bookshelves and entertainment unit. They were ready to invest in quality furnishings, custom design details and finishes that would give the room a more personal, finished look.

The result is a thoughtfully furnished TV room that combines custom design, quality pieces and everyday comfort—with consideration for every member of the household, including the family's dogs.

Rather than replacing the old unit with another off-the-shelf solution, we collaborated with the contractor to design a custom wall-mounted TV unit specifically for the room. Custom wood slat panels added architectural interest and helped create a distinctive focal point.

But the design wasn't just about how the room looked. The family's dogs loved sitting on the window seat to watch the world outside, but getting up there wasn't always easy. We selected ottomans that could serve as comfortable footrests for the homeowners while also providing a step up for the dogs.

The custom window seat cushion was made with durable, attractive fabric and designed to stay securely in place as the dogs climbed on and off.

New furniture, an area rug, lighting, window treatments and a fresh paint colour completed the transformation.

The result is a thoughtfully furnished TV room that combines custom design, quality pieces and everyday comfort—for every member of the household.
