Creating a Home That's Just Right for You

Interior design. Residential Renovation Management.

"Your home doesn’t need to be perfect. It needs to be just right for you."

Tracy Laqua

Welcome to in-ex-teriors design + décor inc.

If you’re considering a renovation, you may already know what you’d like to change—or you may simply know that something in your home isn’t working the way it should.

Either way, you don’t need to have all the answers before reaching out. Part of my role is helping you understand what needs to change, explore the possibilities and determine the best way forward.

Take a look around, get to know how I work and see how thoughtful design, careful planning and renovation management can help you create a home that’s just right for you.

Creating a home that’s just right for you starts with understanding what isn’t working—and why.

Since 2009, I’ve helped homeowners make thoughtful decisions about their homes through interior design and residential renovation management. Sometimes the problem is obvious. Other times, what appears to be the problem is really a symptom of something else.

That’s why I don’t begin with a design solution. I begin by asking questions, understanding how you live in your home and identifying what needs to change—not just how you want the finished space to look.

From there, I guide you through the decisions, details and challenges that come with renovating, helping you create a home that works for the way you live today and where life may take you next.

Meet Tracy

I’m Tracy Laqua, an interior design professional and Certified Residential Renovation Project Manager—and the person behind in-ex-teriors.

I started in-ex-teriors in 2009 with a belief that good design should be about much more than how a space looks. Your home needs to work for you, your routines and the way you actually live.

Before starting in-ex-teriors, I spent many years in the corporate world, where I developed a strong foundation in communication, organization, budgeting and project management. Those skills continue to shape how I work today, bringing structure and practical problem-solving to the creative side of interior design.

Over the years, my role has grown beyond designing spaces to helping homeowners navigate the renovation itself. I bring together interior design with the planning, organization and problem-solving needed to keep a renovation moving forward.

Communication is a big part of how I work. I believe you should understand what’s happening with your project, why decisions are being made and what comes next. My role is to help you make informed decisions, anticipate potential issues and keep the many moving parts of a renovation organized.

And when I’m not working on a project, you’ll often find me gardening, playing tennis or spending time in my Dundas community.

If you’re ready to work with someone who brings clarity, structure and thoughtful guidance to the renovation process, let’s talk.
